Research
My research aims at developing a unified framework for the analysis and decision-oriented exploration of complex simulation models using Frugal and Explainable AI. I combine surrogate modeling, active learning, and interpretable machine learning to transform computationally expensive models into transparent tools for decision-making under environmental and climate uncertainty.
Through an iterative co-design paradigm with domain experts, this framework provides actionable insights for two main classes of complex systems: sustainable transport design and agent-based simulations for socio-environmental risk assessment.
